SA; Minister calls for water cap to stay

ADELAIDE, Feb 8 AAP - The River Murray would be sucked dry if the cap limiting the amount
of water taken out by New South Wales farmers was scrapped, South Australian Environment
Minister Dorothy Kotz said today.

Mrs Kotz told the second Australian Stream Management conference that she was alarmed to
hear the policy of the National Party in NSW which included scrapping the cap and a push for
more dams to be built.
