NSW: Police car rammed in Sydney's west
SYDNEY, April 14 AAP - A man is under police guard in hospital after he allegedly rammed
a police car in Sydney's west overnight.
A 58-year-old driver was arrested on Monday night after allegedly ramming his white
Volvo sedan into a marked patrol car at Cranebrook at about 8.20pm (AEST).
It is alleged he also tried to ram a second police car.
After losing control of his vehicle, police arrested the man in nearby Laycock Street.
He was taken to Nepean Hospital by ambulance, where he is under police guard in a stable
condition.
Two male police officers sustained minor injuries in the incident but did not require treatment.
A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing by Penrith Local Area
Command detectives.
